FRANCES BENNETT

Frances Hartwell-Bennett is a life-long resident of Asbury Park, except for the years that she lived, worked and studied in New York City. She was born in the year 1949 in Neptune, New Jersey at Fitkin Hospital, presently known as Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC). She was educated in the Asbury Park School System (Bangs Avenue Elementary, Bond Street Elementary and Asbury Park High School). Ms. Hartwell-Bennett grew up in very close proximity to Springwood Avenue, and as a result of that, she was able to experience many of the finer things that Springwood Avenue and the west side of Asbury Park had to offer, i.e. live music, social clubs, dance halls, parades, church, and high fashion.
